As you are aware, ASRU Men are in New Zealand participating in the PACNATMIL Rugby Cup witrh four other Nations (as host, New Zealand has two teams participating).
 

ASRU played the French Armed Force New Caledonia on Tuesday 28 October with the final score: ASRU 41 defeated FANC 0.
 

ASRU played a New Zealand Defence Academy team (coached by the famous All Black Buck Shelford) today (Thursday 30 Oct): NZ Defence Academy 25 defeated ASRU 13.
 

ASRU led at half time and the score was locked at 13 all midway through the second half. NZ Academy and ASRU both had players sin binned and on their return to the field, the ASRU player was again penalised and given a Red Card. Playing one player short, ASRU were required to defend for the remainder of the match and allowed the NZ Academy to score two tries late in the second half.

From all accounts, ASRU should have won the match although playing far below their capabilities. ASRU will now play Tonga for the PACNATMIL Plate on Saturday 1 November, while the NZDF team will play the NZ Defence Academy in the PACNATMIL Cup match.
